Stop by to browse the displays, spin the prize wheel, and see what is happening at your libraries. Just a reminder…both libraries will be closed on Saturday, September 7th, so we can meet with all of you at the Fair. Hope to see you there!
Beginning Sept. 9th – OSU Extension SNAP-Ed presents “No Cook” Meals
Join Kristine Moore for this informative eight week series on meals that require absolutely no cooking. Program will be held in the McConnelsville Library Meeting Room each Monday, beginning at 5:30pm. All supplies and ingredients will be provided. All you need to bring is your appetite. No registration is required. The first recipe will feature a yummy wrap. Thank you again to the Morgan County Extension Office for partnering with us to present such wonderful programs at both library locations.
Tuesday, September 10th – Chesterhill Library Book Club @ 5:30pm
This month’s discussion will revolve around the book, A Good Neighborhood, by Therese Fowler. Haven’t read it? Stop by and check out a copy at either library location. Cheryl and Sarah will also be hosting the McConnelsville Library Book Club on Thursday, September 12 at 5:30pm. McConnelsville Book Club is usually the first Thursday of each month, but is being postponed in September, due to the Morgan County Fair. New members are always welcome at either location.
Summer Reading 2024
Summer Reading has come to an end for another year. Time flies when you’re having fun! Thank you everyone for your continued participation in Summer Reading endeavors. This program would not be possible without our wonderful readers and community members. Nearly three hundred participants embarked on this year’s reading adventure. We would like to send a huge thank you to Mr. Puppet, The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Ohio Nature Education, Twin City Opera House, Bobbi Parsons, Ohio School of Falconry, Chris Hart, Carrie Turner, Daphne Weaver, Caroline Perruci, The McDougal Family, and all who assisted with this year’s programming. Thank you also to the parents, grandparents, and all loved ones who allowed your youth readers to take part in our program, as well as the adults who explored the Adventures that await at your local public libraries. It’s awesome to see everyone’s excitement and enthusiasm. Congratulations to all who completed your reading goals!
What Can Your Libraries Do For You?
Looking to access your libraries on the go? We can help! Curbside service continues at both library locations. Simply give us a call and let us know what items you would like to check out. We will set a pickup time that is convenient for you and materials will be made available for outside pickup. COVID-19 tests are available at both library locations for curbside pickup as well.
Would you rather have items delivered to your home and/or organization? No problem! The Bookmobile and transit van visit different areas of the county every week. If you would like to take advantage of this service, please call 740-962-2533 and speak with Terri. We visit all areas of Morgan County and are always ready to add new stops. There are no requirements for this program other than we can only make stops within Morgan County. We can even set up a pop-up library for patrons to browse and borrow items.
