Your calls, letters, and emails made a powerful impact - tens of thousands of personal stories of how local libraries have positively impacted lives and messages of support were sent to the House of Representatives on behalf of Ohio public libraries. Your voices are essential in highlighting the importance of libraries as vital community hubs across our state.
April 9, the House votes on its version of the budget. Next, the process moves to the Senate for review, then to the Governor's desk to sign before July 1.
As we move forward, we ask that you continue to share with Senator Chavez why you love your Kate Love Simpson Library System. We strive to provide the best library services possible and take great pride in serving all of Morgan County.
We will keep you updated on the budget proposal as it moves through the Senate.
